Rose Winstanley-Trefz has been tuning pianos since 1977, serving her apprenticeship with John Quitmeyer in Rochester, MI. Graduate of Yamaha's "Little Red Schoolhouse" and Kimball Factory Service Seminar in 1985. Former member of the Piano Technician's Guild, National and PTG Detroit/Windsor Chapter. Concert Technician at Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, MI between 1979 and 1982, tuning for famous groups of the time, such as: The Moody Blues, Journey, Chicago, Beach Boys, etc. Previously employed as independent contractor by Hammell Music, Steinway/Yamaha dealer in Livonia, MI, Jacob's Music, Steinway/Yamaha dealer in Phila., PA and Wilmington Piano, Wilmington, DE.
Rose is currently servicing pianos in the Delaware County and parts of Montgomery County. Tuning clients include Suburban Music School, Darlington Fine Arts, Rose Tree Park outdoor concerts, Swarthmore and Springfield Music Stores, private homes, etc.
